The 2025 Detroit Pro lit up Dearborn, Michigan, on Saturday, March 29, as fans
witnessed a stacked lineup in both the Men’s Open and Classic Physique
divisions. This Olympia-qualifying event brought out some of the biggest names on
the IFBB Pro League circuit, all vying for their ticket to the sport’s grandest stage—
Mr. Olympia, taking place October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.rsation.
With the Olympia qualification period running from September 16, 2024, to
September 14, 2025, every event counts, and the Detroit Pro did not disappoint.
Only the winner from each division qualifies—and if a qualified athlete wins, no
runner-up receives an automatic invite.
Men’s Open: Bonac Reclaims His Momentum
William Bonac Wins 2025 Detroit Pro, Punches Olympia Ticket in Dominant Return
The Men’s Open lineup featured 15 athletes, including 2025 Arnold Classic
veterans William Bonac, James Hollingshead, and Sasan Heirati, all considered
frontrunners heading into the weekend.
William Bonac, a two-time Arnold Classic champion and 2019 Olympia runnerup,
made his Detroit Pro debut with authority. After placing fifth at this year’s
Arnold Classic, Bonac returned with sharper conditioning and signature muscle
density to edge out a stacked lineup and secure the top spot—and his Olympia
qualification.
“The Conqueror” is officially back in the Olympia conversation.
Behind him, Sasan Heirati brought an improved package to take second place,
followed closely by James Hollingshead, who finished third after also competing
at the 2025 Arnold Classic (8th place). Hollingshead has been focused on refining
his shape to match his trademark density and will look for redemption in upcoming
contest.

Crown
The Classic Physique division saw 13 competitors hit the stage. Leading the pack
was Matthew Greggo, who brought a flawless mix of aesthetics, symmetry, and
stage presence to secure first place and an Olympia qualification.
Wesley Vissers, a seasoned contender and fan favorite, landed in second place,
while Alex Kent took third after a tie-break resulted in Vissers receiving both
second and third-place recognition in some official tallies (awaiting scorecard
confirmation).
